About Us

Helping Hand Turkana Ato (HHTA) is an indigenous community based non-profit organization established to address the critical challenges faced by children, youth, and women in Northern Kenya. Founded on 15th September 2016, HHTA was formed by a group of 27 dedicated youth members 12 women and 15 men who united under a common cause: to uplift and empower vulnerable populations within their community.

We are committed to ensuring that our programs are inclusive of all, regardless of background, and actively support refugee and host communities within our region.

Children's Rights Advocacy

To protect and promote children’s rights through education, advocacy, and community sensitization.

Sexual and Reproductive Health

Providing sexual health education and services to adolescents and youth, including family planning support.

Sustainable Livelihoods Training

Empowering women and youth with vocational skills and sustainable farming techniques to improve livelihoods.

Environmental Conservation

Engaging communities in tree planting, deforestation awareness, and environmental protection initiatives.
